You can count better than the Big 12 and Big Ten, so you’ve got that.

SCENARIO I

Every conference has to be at 14. Thus, the Pac-12 adds BYU and *Someone* else out west. Not sure who, but BYU is P5 ready for sure. SDSU? C-State? Boise State won't make it.

Big 12 has to add four, so they add: UCF and USF...they capitalize on the mid-Florida region with two large universities. They grab Cincinnati, who is also P5 ready. The LAST slot will be either Memphis or Houston.


SCENARIO II

The Pac-12 does the same thing.

ACC decides to go Big, so they poach West Virginia from the B12, and also add Cincinnati. They takes them to Sixteen.

The B12 goes to fourteen, and they add: UCF and USF (again, mid-Florida targets), they grab Memphis AND Houston, and to replace West Virginia, they add...who?

(This is just fun speculation....don't take this TOO serious!)

I wouldn't mind seeing a reshuffling of teams that maybe leads to new conferences.

Would Notre Dame be forced to join a conference under either scenario? They are the 65th team in the power five.
