I am a TCU fan, so I follow college baseball pretty closely. By the end of the season our homes games are brutally hot. The regionals at are our stadium are sometimes unbearably hot. I can not imagine pushing this back even further.

Edit: There is a reason the rangers built an indoor stadium. It is way too hot for outdoor baseball during the summer here.

This is 100% my concern. Between the heat, rain delays, and fewer students around, I suspect that moving the season back would cost us a revenue drop of 30-50% in June. The only reason people go to the regionals is because it’s the post season. If that time period is made into a regular series, no one is going to sit out in 100 degree day heat or deal with a 4 hour thunderstorm delay. (And to understand Florida weather, there have been thunderstorms literally every day for the past two weeks here which is normal in the summer months.)
