Chicago St is one of the most controversial schools in Division 1 which draws heated interest.

How are they controversial?

They're the poster child for "school that should not be wasting money on Division I athletics," leading a perils-of-Pauline existence--kicked out of the Summit League/ Mid-Continent, did time on the Great West island of misfit toys.

If you're looking and waiting for somebody to drop out of Division I, either by scaling back athletics or just closing down completely, Chicago State has been on your radar.
