I was a big follower of that saga just from being an ASUN fan when you joined (and student at the time!). What a great victory to return to the SoCon and bring back football. The current group of ASUN posters on this board seem to think that ETSU, UTC, and WCU might leave for the new ASUN football conference they are dreaming of.

It’s an interesting thought. If a couple of OVC teams like
Jax State came too it would be enticing to join other like minded public schools.

Need at least two more football teams to get to 9 and three more schools total to get to 10 for hoops, but I'd be down for that even though it's probably slightly longer travel.

ETSU and ASJN is an oxymoron.

No need to get into turmoil about this. ETSU isn't going to go to a conference that increases travel cost for all of its sports. ETSU isn't going to gut their athletics to support a single sport (football) ala App State.

And finally to want to be in a basketball conference with 1-28 Kennesaw NET ranking next to last is not understandable to me at all.
