Dahlgren Chapel of the Sacred Heart is a wonderful building that was constructed in 1893 and it is located in the historic center of the campus. Worth noting, the Monastery of the Visitation (which is affiliated with the Visitation Order in the District of Columbia) does not seem to be directly connected with the university but there might be a symbiotic relationship between the two (perhaps VCE or any other GU fan who posts here can shed some light).

Hmmm. There’s a Catholic all girls high school next to GU named Georgetown Visitation. With that land we probably could have had legit on campus football and basketball facilities.

Other than that, I’m not well versed in the workings of the Church. Dahlgren was the last place at which I attended mass (outside of weddings and funerals) some 20 odd years ago. Georgetown weddings there with receptions at the Car Barn were awesome.
