I am not understanding that change in guidelines.

Can anyone explain the reasoning behind the change?

I see that the dems are blaming it on the White House. Is there any truth to that?

I read it as linking up with what I’ve been told multiple times by different docs...it’s less easily transmitted than we think and people are clogging the system by freaking out.

Do you run to get tested if you came into contact with someone who contracted H1N1 a few years back? Me neither.

I would simply because we have regular, close, prolonged contact with family members at a higher risk age. I don't really worry about me, my wife and my daughter. But I do worry about them.

That is commendable. I get it. Would you do the same during the annual flu season? If not, will you now do so going forward? Honest questions.

We all get the flu shot. If I was sick and exhibiting flu symptoms, yes, I would go to the doctor and get a test for the flu. Wouldn't most people? Honest question here - can you infect people with the flu if you're not exhibiting symptoms.

Wasn’t what I asked. If the guy in the cubicle next to you gets one of the annual influenza strains, do you get tested just due to contact with them?

Yes, you can absolutely transmit the regular influenza viruses as an asymptomatic carrier. Heck you can transmit herpes with no symptoms. Viruses are an interesting bag.
