My wife and I stopped watching the national evening news. Every newscast started off with the number of new COVID cases, the total number of COVID cases, the current death toll, the current number of people unemployed, and of course, criticism of the POTUS, his administration, and the feds on how this unprecedented situation was managed. Negativity that no vaccine is available and negativity that any potential existing drug would pose dangerous health risks. Rinse, repeat every day. Rinse, repeat. It's like the world just stopped and everything is about the COVID-19 black cloud of death. I don't believe I remember any story about the fact that the overall percentage of positive tests was trending down as the number of tests increased. Meanwhile, folks are suffering from isolation, economic hardship, and oh by the way, cancer, heart disease, drug and alcohol addiction, et al., don't give a flying fluck about COVID-19...It's time to get back to living our lives again along side all of the other risks inherent in being a human being.
