Nationwide, we're still plataeud at the top of the curve. The reopening efforts, and the data we collect through May, June, and July will give us a much better picture of how things might play out in the fall.

And, of course, it remains a possibility that a second wave will hit as the weather gets cooler.

I'm optomistic, but there's a long way to go. And a few statements from University administrators doesn't really tell us a whole lot, other than that they want classes to take place, which isn't exactly news.

A second wave WILL hit in the fall. There is no way to avoid it, unless a vaccine is available by then.

Virus was in California last September. They've already established herd immunity and the number of cases and fatalities are a fraction of what they are in New York.
