I would assume if they're using both chloroquine and zinc it's dual action in a sense. The separate action would likely be as a transport mechanism to bring zinc into the cell. But I think that's more of a drug "cocktail" like you were referring to previously.

Also, I don't think its accurate that chloroquine functions specifically by interfering with the polymerase. I tried finding where that comes from but only see some studies from the 60s which don't seem to be in the context of coronavirus infection.

My understanding is that it raises the endosomal pH level and prevents the glycosylation of the viral envelope, thereby preventing attachment of the virus and/or preventing activity of Proteins within the cell that would otherwise facilitate the transport of the viral RNA for translation.
