H1N1 was a pandemic. We lost <1000 people a month (831.6). We've lost 34K in SIX WEEKS!

And stop thinking coming in below predictions is something to crow about.

100,000-240,000 deaths were predicted initially for the United States. That prediction has mitigation techniques like social distancing factored in.

Earlier this week we saw Dr Fauci say that approximately 60,000 deaths were being predicted.

Based on that, I’ll stick to my initial statement and say that we are doing pretty good here in the US.

A shortage of hospital beds and ventilators for patients that need them were predicted at the peak of the virus.... that hasn’t happened.

Our response, and by our I mean all Americans, has been pretty good.... the numbers support that. That includes all citizens and everyone working in government from the federal to the local level...... and that’s regardless of political affiliation; you’ll get no partisanship from me.

Our response hasn’t been perfect (hindsight shows mistakes in everything), but it’s has been pretty good. If that’s ‘crowing’, then yes, I am.

we still have not hit the peak. people are still getting sick and florida is set to open next week. I agree we have done quite well so far but its still possible to F it up and there are politicians screaming to do just that.
