What strikes me at the moment is the consequence of bad decision making.

Bass (or 'the committee') made a decision 3 years ago to take something that was going along successfully and vector it in a new direction , and the results were spectacularly bad. Now -it appears - that bad decision is being made right by going Back to the Future.

The problem is that going Back to the Future means once again taking something that could arguably be said had gone from a disaster to beginning to go along fine and re-vectoring yet again.

And sadly, along the way, a lot of people get hurt.

I hope and expect things to go well under Siddle. But the collateral damage makes me sad.

This is about where I am at on it too.

We are once again changing direction and moving away from a known certainty that people like and has a lot of growth potential to an unknown that represents yet another change in direction and culture.

We ran Brownell off in an attempt to change direction and culture and it failed miserably and we paid the price.

When we landed Keatts we had someone who had a clear vision and was in the process of implementing a culture. For whatever reason we abandoned that and again switch directions. Once again we paid the price.

We very very fortunate to have someone with the character, pedigree, and passion like Coach Burke fall in our lap. Despite having been dealt a very difficult situation, it was working and showed signs of potential. Yet we are abandoning it and once again going in a different direction.

I think Siddle should have had the job to begin and we never should have abandoned the culture Keatts was implementing. However, what is done is done.

I am just exhausted by all the hard reboots this program has seen the past 15 years.

I hope Siddle has tremendous success and I do think if you werent going to hire Burke than he was the best choice. I sincerely hope that the Run, Defend, Win culture is the culture we stick with moving forward. If Siddle does find success here and move on to the big money jobs. I hope that we have finally learned our lesson and stick with our identity and not throw darts at the wall blindly
