The MAJORITY of counties in MI are reporting 1-100 cases in the entire county. Some are still at 0. Of course your not going to see these hospitals getting crushed.

I just talked to a friend who’s a cardiology PA at a hospital 25 min from my house. Was seeking advice because my Mother in law has a 2nd bout with breast cancer and is concerned about her 2 options of where to go for a procedure with her oncologist. His hospital being one of them. He said about 3/4 of their units are now COVID pts! We’re not talking a tiny 100-200 bed community hospital. Try >500 patients, so approaching 400 positive or suspected C19 cases. Almost to capacity and only a handful of vents left. No not going to see much activity outside or at the ER entrance it’s all going down on the 3rd, 4th, 5th...floors.

My sister said a lot of her oncology pts are being pushed back to May for their procedures. I addressed collateral damage of this disease earlier. A lot of specialists have shut down their offices.

I’ve tangled with EagleToughguy on this forum before and I’m not surprised he comes on with this sh!te. I’m all for good conspiracy theories, hell I’ve been listening to Art Bell since working graveyards at the old Parchment mill in ‘97. Notice most of my posts are between midnight and 3am, because I’m mostly listening to batsh!t crazy stories. But this is some no brain horse crap. Think about a regular hospital if your county has 1-100 total confirmed cases. We know from DATA if you have 100 confirmed about 80 of them will be quarantined at home, such as my cousin in VA for the past 3 weeks. About 20 will be hospitalized and 5 may require ICU. So, no there aren’t going to be ambulance bays full. There’s not going to be a lineup of people outside the triage tents, YET. In fact the majority of ERs are a ghost town since this has broken out because all the hypochondriacs that used to come in with hang nails are STAYING THE HELL AWAY!

I’d guess that there are about 20 hospitals in MI right now in full combat mode based on the maps. Balls to the wall, running low on PPE and staffing, full threat of being overrun in the next 2 weeks. There are 131 hospitals in the state. Guarantee you won’t see any action outside the vast majority of them. All these twitter Rangers kill me, POUNDfilmyourfinghospital.
