They could have made it so much more interesting. The Fiend needed someone (to play his shrink) to expose a psychological weakness before being defeated.

WWE s creative is terrible. They screwed over their hottest ticket so RR wouldn't catch heat winning the title.

Short sighted as always.

I can't believe you are surprised. Its the most unsurprising thing in the world to me.

WWE creative has been terrible for a long time now. OF course they are going to kill Brays run, just as they killed CM Punks run to have Cena-Rock as WM, or how they tried to kill Danial Bryan in favor of Roman, or how they killed Auska's run to get Charlotte into the Becky-Rousey match. We could all list about 20 other examples too.

Goldberg-Reigns will bring in some short term cash for WM but its a terrible move long term.

You have some very interesting examples there. If you think Charlotte beat Asuka a full year before the WM main event, then you are giving the WWE FAAAARRRR too much credit for being able to see into the future.

Now I do agree that WWE makes horrible moves at times because Vince has his guys and thinks he knows what sells. Goldberg's title pic had the most likes in WWE history, so Vince appears to know more than mot give him credit for.

You are mixing things up there. She did beat Asuka at WM, but the next year Asuka had won the smack down belt and then suddenly dropped it to Flair right before WM last year. That was pretty much the end of Asuka as a single.

I guess you could say they squashed Asuks's run twice, but I was referring to the more recent one which was just to get Flair into the main event last year. It seemed stupid at the time to have ever put the belt back on Asuka at all if she was just going to instantly drop it and be forgotten.

See? It was so stupid and meaningless you even forgot she got the belt. I'm sure a lot of people have forgotten.

Very stupid booking.

You are correct. Although, I know Flair was inserted in the match prior to taking the belt, I honestly think they did it solely to have it as a winner take all match. For that matter, they could have easily made it a four way match, but having someone still slightly green like Rousey and dealing with Asuka's language barrier might've made it too unreasonable. Supposedly she was supposed to defend the belt at WM, but that was scratched the day before she lost it to Charlotte. I think Vince/bookers wanted to add as much heat as possible to the WM main event.

The WWE has almost never been consistent on how they book people. One of my favorites was Mark Henry. He was either pushed as unbeatable or was a total jobber. Almost zero in between. There have been very few (Goldberg being one) that have stayed consistent as a dominant force in the WWE. They are just too manic in decisions to keep a character for long term.
