Bryant was gonna be “The Guy”. He wasn’t allowed to be the guy, then coach asks him to takeover when things get out of hand and he wasn’t able to take care of the ball at critical times.

Gueye is the next guy. A bit of a flop, but it explains why Pitino wouldn’t offer more than a PWO. You may not like it that he shoots 3s but that was his game in high school and he never played really big dudes while at aspire academy, not from a bulk aspect. He’s a face up PF.

Lovan was the gem. I don’t have anything bad to say about him.

Benjamin was a good get, probably better suited for playing in the horizon league or somewhere similar that has smaller guards.

ASW wouldve ate our current bigs lunch. This league don’t have any bigs anymore. No wonder Bassey wanted to play in this league. Gordon could be that guy. Had a leg injury bad enough to keep Gordon out for much of AAU ball last summer. He’s played his senior season at Jeff Davis. Averaging a double double.

You make some very good points. Ive tended to give Eshan at least some credit for being a decent recruiter but thats because honestly not sure how we sell UAB to recruits these days. You are never playing in the tournament, we dont have players in NBA, we dont go out and play a national schedule and because of that we continue to play home games in front of smaller and smaller crowds.
