Used to be that you had five years to play four. That would mean he used his redshirt year, a transfer year and has three years to play starting in 2021. Has that changed? Who knows.

I thought you get one transfer now where you were eligible immediately?

I believe unless it's a JUCO, you have to have a transfer exception, waiver, grad transfer to be able to play immediately.

This was my understanding and since he was part of the team all year under current rules, without an exception he would have to sit out 2020. I'm all for immediate eligibility, at least once in a players 5 years.
