He reminds me of a coach I grew up watching every game. Bobby Knight. Raw and powerful in his sideline style. He's like a Bobby Knight with a filter. I like it.

Please don't put the Bobby Knight on the guy ! I hear Burke is a good dude and we know the Knight story,just ask him and he will tell you really quick how great he is. I like Burke and he might be the man.

Sure, that's why I added "with a filter". Look, everyone has their cons. EVERYONE, myself included. However, Knight was one of the best coaches to ever coach the game period. That's not debatable. His ego, whether it was a good or bad thing... that can be debated. His energy and intensity though, that's what I always loved. I always liked that same mentality in my coaches, and it raised my performances. I know not everyone responds to that style though.

He won a lot of games but he is a horrible human being and I would want to him coach my dogs much less my son or daughter. He obviously has some sort of mental/emotional instability along with an ego.
The good news is that people actually like Coach Burke so it can done without being a lunatic full time. I am looking forward to seeing them play Saturday with him on the sideline. Kevin Eastman was probably the most high energy coach I have seen at UNCW and he got it done for sure. Keatts has a little energy himself but not close to Eastman.
