I thought of this when IM missed a 12ft-er that he tried to swish. Nobody uses the glass anymore. You see it more on bad 3s these days (bbal in general, not just Memphis) than you do on 10-15ft-ers.
The bank shot retired with Tim Duncan.
As for the team I can't get down on them yet when looking the current factors. The only negative for me right now is TOs. The team, including Lomax, force too many bad passes.

I've never seen him so Haynes might be the best ever for all I know. But when people on a national level thought of the bank shot they thought of Duncan.
Old School Memphis fans associate the bank shot with Doom Haynes. Players are too good now to shoot mid range jumpers... it’s all 3’s all the time... even if you can’t make one.
