Watched (endured) the highlights replayed again this morning on ESPNU.

Players have to make the plays, but to rehash many of our previous thoughts about the loss, coaching mistakes cost JMU the game. I hope HC CC and staff learned something from game.

1st Mistake: Not being prepared for the fake field goal and giving up a 22 yard run for a TD.

2nd Mistake: Given up a 44 yard run for a TD on a 3rd and 23. This was an absolute all-around boneheaded play.

3rd Mistake: Not calling a running play on the 2 yard line with 8 seconds in the game and with 2 time-outs in your pocket.

Yup, my coaching call from my cold stadium seat was a Palmer run. If he didn't get in the 1st time. Line him up again in the backfield (after using a time out) and have Ben run a naked bootleg untouched into the end zone. But we still had to convert the 2 pt conversion, which was no sure thing.
