Nobody wants to hear it, but why should our Coach and players and administrators have to become carnival hawkers just to get people to come to a game that could be our biggest ever? Beautiful Saturday otherwise, I sincerely hope for a large walk up crowd as well as a surge late. Undoubtedly we will hear now that the talk of our Coach leaving affected this negatively but I would assert that this, in part, is why we may lose our Coach. JMO

College football attendance has dropped for the last 8 years. Our attendance is increasing.

Re Florida State, they have had attendance problems this decade, hitting a 32 year low this season:

https://www.tallahassee.com/story/sports...213208002/

"It also concluded the worst attended football season for the FSU program since 1987.

The Seminoles had an average attendance of 54,019 over seven home games this season . . .

FSU averaged 53,676 fans per game during the 1987 season when Doak Campbell Stadium's capacity was 60,519. The current capacity is 79,560.

This is the first season since 1992 that FSU has had multiple games with an attendance under 65,000 fans when stadium capacity was 70,123.

FSU did not reach that mark once in 2019."

Good point. FSU had their worst attendance in 32 years at 54k. Hmmmm...shame on them for not reaching capacity. If only they had a big booster or fire sale tickets to bail them out. Or was it “just Tallahassee”? Or the decline of attendance everywhere? Or the inter webs broadcasting every game?

I would bet dollars to Gibson’s Donuts that as soon as they are enthused again and the product is successfully led by a guy that can do wonders on the field, (not having to shill for tix to be purchased) the attendance is at capacity without even having to beg nicely?

Not sure your point. Mine was I don't think our attendance vis-a-vis Florida State's football attendance has anything to do with Norvell's decision. Fact is all the Florida's schools have trouble with attendance. Miami has half empty stadiums. Florida lost 6,000 season tickets holders the first year Mullen was there.
