Mississippi State would probably bring more people than Arkansas. The Hogs were never a big draw when they were in the SWC. We sold out repeatedly for LSU and Texas, and came at least close to selling out for aTm when they were good, but I don't remember ever coming anywhere near selling out for Arkansas. And Mississippi State would probably be more likely than the other three SEC schools to give us a return date at HRS. So it's not a terrible idea, but they would not be one of my "go to" opponents, simply because we don't have a history.

My ideal schedule still remains, UH home-and-home, LSU and aTm 2-for-1, and the remainder with a mix of similar academic schools on a home-and-home, possibly subbing in a local FCS school that will draw (Sam, PV, TSU) to give us 6 home games in the years when we play both LSU and aTm on the road.

I remember when we played aTm at HRS every year, and had a sellout every year for TexasU or LSU. My, how times have changed, and not for the better.
