Class rank is misleading because each class size varies. All that really matters is recruit average rank. 247 has been elevating their rankings over the years, so all you can really use to gauge your class level is your average recruit rating vs other Mac teams. The 2020 class is 7th in that rank. That will change though. When you fill out a class as NIU has you’re going to bring your average down. Historically NIU is in that 4-6 range in avg Mac recruit rating.

Not that I’d take the time to do it for all Mac schools, but IMO the best measure would be to average each schools top 10 recruits only. The bottoms all look the same for each school but the amount of those bottom

I actually didn’t get too far into the weeds. Just noticed on ESPN we have about 4x more than usual recruits that are ranked in their position on the national radar. The past several years we may have had 3 or 4. This year it looks to be about 12-15. On 247, again just noticed more guys with higher national exposure than the amount we have had in the past. Regardless, I just feel we will have a good class....and sure many of them will fade into Dunbar land
