Also, Im not sure where the best spot for recruiting rankings is. Rivals has him listed on their site as a 3 star, which is the same as what 247sports has. Rivals has Saint Thomas as a 3 star.

247 has Johnson at .8562. They have Saint as .87

Joe Reece was .87

It means that JJ's personality and make up is not good enough, to convince better freshmen, to come to ODU (maybe good transfers but not great ones).

As long as we are in a weak league, Odu will probably never go to the NCAA tourney. It's a 1 team league. Maybe we should step down and then be sure of a bid. Look at all the money Norfolk St. made for 2 games.i

If its such a weak league we should win it. We went to the NCAAs several times in the CAA which was pretty weak until the last few seasons. The problem with CUSA is that the top 6 teams or so are not weak at all. So you basically have to win a very tough 6 team league. On top of that, the travel sucks and you play teams so far away that you're bound to slip up and lose to the crappy teams on the road here and there (killing your NET ranking), and lastly when you do well, the media exposure is so non-existent that nobody sees or cares anyway, so you cant build any buzz or momentum behind a push to get an at-large or land higher profile recruits. We're basically playing in a league that is half like the A10 and half like the MEAC in quality, like the AAC or Big10 in travel, and mostly like the ASun in money and exposure.
