i really don’t want to hear any of this nervous “what-if-we-lose” BS.

a) so what if we do? a couple of trolls will say some s**t on here and social media.... so?
b) this game has NOTHING to do with our win. no one can diminish the significance it had on our program.
c) do you really want to cling to that win forever? when was the last time we got blown out by an FBS team? 2016 vs. Trubisky’s UNC team but we were right in the game at halftime. remember our defense sucked to begin that year because of a new scheme, it was still very new at that time. i believe if that game had been played in December, we could have won. bottom line: there is no reason to think we can’t compete with them. i mean, who knows where both programs will be in 2025, but this isn’t the ‘99 JMU team/program. we say that all the time, why can we not believe in ourselves? yes, Alabama and Clemson and several others would embarrass us. Tech is (currently) not either program... not even close.
d) come ON.... NO, the pressure is not on us. we’re FCS, period. we’ll be underdogs assuming we’re still FCS, and probably even if we’re FBS. it will be a storyline, sure, but the pressure is always on the FBS team. it’s almost a lose-lose proposition for them.

sorry if this was prickly, I just don’t like that mindset. i also got 0 minutes of sleep last night so i’m probably cranky. i know i am, actually.
