both are one and done and not in the same class... so its unlikely they play together without 1 reclassing
I agree about Collier being a one and done. We'll see about them potentially playing together.

As far as "one and done" players are concerned, it's arguable whether they are a net positive or a net negative for a program. Take Kentucky for example. "One and done" players can be disruptive to a program, particularly to the importance of the team concept.

That's one of the reasons why Coach Sampson has had such success at Houston, year in and year out. He's all about the team concept.

I mean Calipari has made the tournament 10 out of 12 tournaments at Kentucky. Would have been a high seed the year the tournament got canceled as well. Of those ten appearances 7 have resulted in Elite Eight appearances, 4 of those They went to the Final Four, twice to the championship game and once won the whole thing. Only twice have they lost before the sweet sixteen. Obviously they had a really bad year in that weird COVID season but there’s only maybe 4-5 programs you could argue have been better than that over the last 13 years since Calipari has been at Kentucky.

Calipari's teams had their share of success between 2010 and 2019, but despite their massive recruiting advantages, they haven't advanced to the Final Four since 2011, and they haven't advanced beyond the First Round since 2019.

........Kentucky........Houston
2019....Elite 8..........Sweet 16
2020.........NO TOURNAMENT
2021...No Bid (9-16)...Final 4
2022..1 & Done..........Elite 8

It took Coach Sampson four seasons to build a NCAA-quality program, but Houston has had more tournament success than Kentucky has had over the past four seasons.
