Exactly.

The RPI was the primary ranking system in the time period I posted about. There was no NET to compare Lebo's last 3 years to Dooley's first 3 or I would have used it to compare since it replaced the RPI as the primary tool. The RPI still has relevance as a tool to compare historically beyond 3 years ago and was the ranking system the NCAA used for 40 freaking years on top of that.
