UC would have played Wichita, and played for the championship....and wouldnt have publicly trash talked anyone..

no way uc passes up a q1 game as a bubble team, a game that would have gotten them a conference title (wichita is #1 in the standing where youd jump them with a win).. over nothing

almost every point memphis fans have made, is countered with 1 of the 2 points) you turned down wichita (if it was about SOS) and that you made ucf play at memphis twice (if its about protocol)

We didn't MAKE UCF play at Memphis twice. They volunteered, to make their travel schedule easier. Was in a Memphis CA article, iirc.
i just saw this and i just read the article, it doesnt say ucf volunteered it... it just said it was done to reduce travel....it doesnt say anyone volunteered anything...

and becuase of that game ucf played 4 straight away in 6 days ..6 of their last 8 had been away games...
it makes no sense why ucf would want that, they had to travel back to ucf after the game ,and travel back out in 2 days to tulsa.. ucf would have logically preferred to to come back for the second game, and had a 4 day home stay...the only thing that makes sense is memphis requesting it becuase they had already spent travel funds going to ucf once

If it was done to reduce travel, who do you think made that decision, Memphis? lol

It was made clear by several people in pressers and otherwise that UCF volunteered to play the game in Memphis rather than travel back home for it during a road swing, as we were prepared to play it in Orlando. They did it exactly to prevent the travel back to Orlando and back out to Tulsa. They stayed on the road.

I think if they were in the hunt for a bid, they likely would have gone back home.
