SMU's tim jankovich on scheduling from interview this week:
https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/smu-mu...difficult/

summary: smus 'schedule has sucked but its not smu's fault.. no one wants to do home and homes with smu..even goergia last year had to be packaged with a tourney. says he calls tons of teams they all say no. wont consider buy games, beneath the aac.. (author notes its not against aac rules)

says he "hopes"and really thinks this years schedule will be tough... note the keyword hope..looks like nothing is inked yet

Try a 1-1-1. Home, home, and neutral.

I'm not even sure a lot of schools would go for that if they're refusing home and homes. A 1 for 2 would probably work though. SMU might end up with 1 or 2 road games per year OOC but at least they'll play some good teams
