So the Kurds brought peace to the area and the Turks are bringing peace by starting a war. They created 300,000 refugees in the west of Syria with their last operation and so they are bombing civilian villages and driving people from their homes in order to re-settle people who lived elsewhere. Think that's called ethnic cleansing.

Actually, it might bring peace. Beat someone bad enough, and they're unlikely to resort to war next time.

I'm reminded of the book Starship Troopers. The movie was corny, but the book was actually some deep political philosophy. Here's the relevant part from the movie:
