It's not the strength of the team at this point,, but they've been workable. Your not going to be 4 and 1 with bad offensive line play. I throw out the Osu game up there as honestly we were bad in all areas of the game. They outplayed Ucf's oline Friday night, and honestly they handled Marshall's defense the week before.
What is real promising is that they had to rely in 2 new guys to come in for the UCF game. So now they are even building depth at the OL. if you are having guys step up in games like that that is a big sign for next year.
I think the Offensive Line has struggled at points this season, but I also believe they potential is there and believe by the end of the season they will be much improved if they can stay relatively healthy. I know some have made comments about Metz struggling at times, but they forget he hasn’t really played organized football like most College players and is mostly getting by on his natural physical ability. Once he starts learning the ins and outs of the position I think you will see a different player (I also don’t think he has been as bad as some have acted).
You can definitely see the talent level on the Offensice Line has improved from the Tuberville era IMO.
I believe Metz is improving. Watching him on replays it looks like he has more of a problem with people coming down inside across his face. This usually indicates that he gets too high when blocking his inside gap. His size can be a detriment until he learns to control his first move out of his stance.
