Actually ... the better route would have been to declare for the NBA draft, but not hire an agent. He would have gotten NBA advice on his game, where he needed to improve and likely projection (NBA) going forward. That would have given him (and Kent) a junior year to really establish himself, either as a NBA player or more likely as a grad transfer to a P5 program.

Also would have had a year to dry up any growing rumors of Roberts being prone to minor injuries that led to him missing games.

Again, likely bad advice from folks who really have no real clue about the system and how to use it ... and not be used by it.
