Which worked famously, giving republicans their biggest electoral success since Reagan, taking back both houses of congress. So republicans promptly forgot about it and abandoned it.

Republicans do best when the contest is about issues. Democrats (helped in no small measure by their fawning, slobbering MSM buddies) do best when the contest is about personalities. But republicans have abandoned issues. I'm totally disgusted with them.
