It's funny but I don't remember a thing about the Carter years but the thing that sticks in my mind is the fiasco in the desert where rescuers never made it to Iran (?). I just remember seeing the pics of those CH-53s that crashed. I don't remember gas lines but I remember that some cities had it really bad in that department. Maybe we didn't see it here because we have a refinery. But, it's like I didn't sample any of that because thank God, I was working and had a lot of job security because we had a lot of work at the airport.
