RE: Why doesn’t Southern Miss and Marshall join the Sun Belt?
Arguing about which of the two is better is pointless without facts. What are the TV rights for each conference? How much money does each school get. What are the reported attendances for each school in the two major sports? How much do coaches make, in football and basketball? Don’t know if anyone has covered this in detail, probably not.

I understand why some CUSA fans feel they are above the Sun Belt. Someone already pointed out that since a few members jumped from the Sun to CUSA it shows a clear hierarchy. Hypothetically, if CUSA lost some members and expanded, would any current Belt members join CUSA? I don’t know. Maybe not. On the other hand, in the past I don’t think ay teams would jump from CUSA to Sun Belt. Nowadays, could see some interest. What do I know!
