MadBum - born 8/1/1989
Cole - born 8/8/1990
Stephen Strasburg - born 7/20/1988
Zach Wheeler - born 5/30/1990

So why is MadBum the one labeled "aging"?

# of innings pitched....
Madbum 1846
Strasburg 1438.2
Cole 1195
Wheeler 749.1

That is a little misleading since unlike Cole and Strasburg, Mad Bum was drafted out of HS. He was adding MLB innings while the other two where throwing College innings. So apples to oranges.

not really though. it's still innings on the arm.

Also Stras had 243 innings at SDSU... So not the difference at all....

??? 1438+243 = 1681

The delta is less than one season's worth of innings. You may be closer about Cole (although it's still kind of a reach to call 1.3 season's worth of IP the basis for "aging") but his point certainly stands wrt Strasburg and MadBum.
