I think CC will be here for as long as he wants to be. He has been responsible for the change in culture. He is in my opinion loved by the alumni students and respected by outsiders and his fellow coaches. The main reason is his example and unlike alot of coaches it isn't slickness, bs and being artificial. What you see you see practiced. Having talked to him face to face a half of dozen times I can tell you there are few individuals I've met in my life that I respected immediately. He is one of them.

That sums it for me as well! Great post.

Very good post about CC. He has done something that no one thought was possible. Took a program on the brink of losing D1 status, very little fan base, etc. and taken us to 3 bowl games in 4 years. And whats better.....he has done it the right way. He doesn't take risk players, holds players accountable and has this program on the rise. I dont want to hear anyone talking about CC going anywhere. For those who want something better, name me the guy who would do it better. Can't do it because Heather Lyke hired the perfect guy who wanted to build and knew it would take time.

I'm not thrilled with the lack of recruits so far for 2021 but we have to trust that he and the other coaches know what they are doing. Recruiting has gotten a TON better in the last 3 years and we are on the heels of a very well attended and national audience bowl game. We will get the right guys, I trust he will do it. For those pandering for the quick fix....be careful what you wish for. CC has built relationships with players and coaches and someone new would be a HUGE setback.

Go Eagles.

As this is a recruiting thread... I don't see any panic by the staff. The talent on the roster is there and the depth is pretty good.

I don't see the need for 15 verbals by November. I'd guess they want to see the 2020 season play out (esp. as spring ball was a non event) and then go with a half dozen or so late commits (mostly JUCOs) to fill holes.

P.S. that said, the MAC has recruited VERY well so far in terms of quantity and quality.

Those who are panicking are doing so because of the big numbers some MAC schools are putting up in JUNE!!! It is incredible that the MAC has 3 or 4 teams ranked in the top half of FBS recruiting (TOL, MIA, BUFF, CMU, etc.)

https://247sports.com/Season/2021-Footba...mRankings/

I counted about 32 teams, mostly P5's that will most likely move ahead of of the MAC schools. So realistically Toledo, which something like #42, would probably end up #74-75 unless they pull a few rabbits out of the hat.

You are correct.

Some MAC schools are 'raking up the points' by getting a very large class THIS EARLY.

Nevertheless, some MAC schools have ave. recruit scores around 82 or 83 which is pretty solid.
