Do you think this is just wishful thinking by some of us that already fill left out, or is there a fire causing this smoke? It's just hard for me to imagine a world where the SEC doesn't exist as is + some. I do believe there will be additional realignment, but I would guess it would just be the demise of the big 12 with some of those schools joining the other four (along with Notre Dame) to form 4 conferences that only play each other and then have a playoff. Lawsuits would fly if anyone already in got booted, unless schools started leaving current conferences and then reformed. I find that hard to imagine. But.... I have no real clue, just my gut talking.

$$$$$ changes everything. When the players start getting paid for their likeness, it is over. The NFL or USFL(yes I said USFL as they have no agreement with the NCAA) may make a business decision to take over and form a minor league and chose whomever they want. During my lifetime, Olympic athletes went from being amateurs to professionals literally overnight. How long were THEY amateurs. Who would have ever thought gymnasts and swimmers would become millionaires while competing in the Olympics instead of waiting until afterward. So it is very likely, not possible.

The NCAA was proven to be a paper tiger AGAIN with the Moo U penalties. They basically got caught doing what we were doing. They demolish us. They didn't even slap their hand. Hell, we don't even really know what their punishment was. Also, what ever happened to Louisville and Syracuse basketball?
