You have to go into a game thinking you need 3+ td's minimum to win. If you don't think you can, you are in trouble.

NIU had the luxury of having a good defense for a couple years and playing conservative. Letting Smith win a game. It's not realistic to think you can win games 17-14 each week. Well, maybe the Bears can. That was LSU for years. I am sure they are happy with giving up 20-30 a game when they set record for most pts in 3 games to open SEC.

Vandy can score, NIU needs to score and not rely and def.

I'm aware of that, I was actually responding to the comment about Riley's stats against LSU being poor- which doesn't mean much for our game.
