Pollard is a rookie and not yet gained a single yard in the NFL. And he was never going to be #1 RB or paid anything like a #1.

If he is productive as a backup, he is going to be a cowboy for the next 4-5 years. But he is not going to have the opportunity to demand big money. He won't get enough touches because Elliott is the best RB in the NFL and still very young.

So I don't see how anyone can perceive Pollard as a highly paid RB.

I don't see how you can make a blanket statement about his career the other way, either. Based on how he has looked; how can anyone even think of pigeonholing him as a career backup who won't make a lot of money?

I hope he does well but it is hard to get paid as a RB in the NFL. Preseason is preseason. 80% of the plays he ran were against players who are no longer playing in the NFL.

The opposite is true. He played exactly like a typical starter does the entire preseason.

Thats not entirely true.

He did got some extra reps like most rookies do. Most teams like rookies to get their feet wet in the preseason.

He stayed in just a little longer than Dak and some of the other regulars.
