The A10 is far from mediocre. They get 2 bids in their worst year. This year, 4-5 bids is a possibility. Last time CUSA got 2 bids, Memphis was in it and we weren't

This is the crux, IMO: With ODU, a BB-only school has been forced into a FB-first position, and all you grumpy old ***** will be salty until the day you die.
Most of us grumpy old ***** (I'm 40 and not likely dying anytime soon) understand the responsibilities to run a department. Football is hemorrhaging money and now has proven it can't sustain itself during a bad season, not even with a new stadium. How would you propose stopping the bleeding? Football's fate is the CAA. Might as well accept it. Pressure will continue to build from donors and university leadership. This was a Ponzi scheme and was going to topple at some point.

Lol. Not gonna happen. No matter how much you wish it. It’s clear you have forgotten that the CAA is not the conference it was when we left it.
