I'm honestly surprised Klobuchar was even in the conversation, but happy I don't have to eat my hat if she had been named the VP nominee. That said, I maintain that there is a zero% chance she was offered anything for dropping out.

I think she was offered the VP slot, since the action and the timing, of her dropping out did not make sense otherwise. Quitting the day before Super Tuesday? What is the point of that? Kind of like forfeiting a football game at the coin flip. Clearly, the George Floyd rioting changed the perception to a need for a black VP, and so Biden backed off, and that is what we shall get from the Identity Party. Black, female, checks both boxes for the 47th POTUS. I just hope it isn't Abrams.

I have nothing against blacks and/or females being elected POTUS - I can think of several I would vote for(and have) - I just don't think those should be the reasons for their nominations or anybody's votes.

Now I wonder if she will get a consolation prize - maybe the AG post? I guess she could just quietly become another face in the Senate again. Back to laboring in the Party's fields.
