The anti-Trump hate is so great that the AnybodyButTrump crowd will push a guy with cognitive problems. I think that never in my lifetime has a VP pick been so important.

I hope it is Klobuchar, over any of the other possible female/POC combinations likely from the Identity Party. Best possible choice to be our Prez if they insist on electing Biden.

I remember 2008, when the Democrats here essentially made it Obama vs. Palin, asserting that McCain was unlikely to live through a term. I think it is unlikely that Biden can do the job - just imagine him babbling like that in top level discussions with any ally or any enemy.

What I saw of Klobuchar she seemd to come across as more reasonable than the other whack-job Dem candidiates. I don't think they can easily do to her what was done to Palin by the Dems and SNL. If she is the VP choice by the eventual nominee, I believe they will have to be more careful. Bashing Hilliary was easier because she was/is such a disgusting person and many, many people, even a lot of Dems in the end really hated her as well. Klob was the candidate that, at least cursorily, seemd to be able to give Trunmp the most problems, at least from that field. Not saying I like any of her policies (I do not) or that she has the charisma or organization or fund-raising abilities (she doesn't) just talking about how she came across, mostly, in the debates compared to the others. No matter who it is/what combination the Reps would do well niot to take them lighlty. Work hard all the way through to the finish.

Agree.

There is too much at stake to take the election lightly, and I would have said the same of a Sanders nomination.

It will be interesting to see the ads highlighting Joe's gaffes. At least they won't get stale, as we will get new ones weekly. If only we could get SNL to treat Biden as they did Palin.
