Why?

Liberals have total dominance in a few states... certainly a few localities... Why don't they put their money where their mouths are (as opposed to imposing it on a nation where at least half the country doesn't support them) and see what happens?

A globally leading nation of 350mm people where 150+mm of them don't support you isn't the place for an academic experiment. Try it in Venezuela, or Equador, or Cuba, or Haiti/DR etc etc etc

Venezuela has seemingly gone to a place that show massive contradictions: it has the official socialist veneer of 'social support' with a realistic core that is as close to Lord of the Flies free market that you can imagine.
