I was thinking more like one leg instead of two. Here's the real problem. The USA is not going to elect a democrat president in 2020 without also electing a democrat majority in both houses of congress. We've already seen how far into the weeds a democrat-controlled HOR is willing to go. Give them a majority in the senate too, and Katy bar the door. No matter how "moderate" or "centrist" a democrat president might be, he/she will be pulled hard Marxist by congress. My only hope is that they would spook the marketplace so quickly that investment and growth would die in very sort order, and the backlash would come in 2022.

There are no moderates left in the democrat party. Biden is supposedly a "moderate." Fifteen years ago, he--along with Hillary and Obama, were on the leftmost fringe of the party. Today they are its center.

Leftists like to say that Ronald Reagan couldn't win the republican nomination in 2020. Actually, he could. But Bill Clinton--at least not President Bill--couldn't win the democrat nomination, and JFK would have to run as a republican.
