I thought McCain was imminently qualified. Easily the most impressive Republican nominee since I have been paying attention, and better than anyone that ran against Trump in 2016 for the nomination. The only knock I have against McCain (other than my disagreement with him on some policy issues) was his choice of Palin as VP.

Palin was a disaster who did not meet my minimum qualifications. Even my republican family members in Alaska thought Palin was a bad VP choice, and they followed her career a lot more closely than I ever could.

In what ways did she fail your minimum qualifications?

And in what ways was Obama more qualified than McCain?
