You might be elevating his remarks to encompass a general case, which I dont think that they are.

A conversation on a very specific instance may or may not be germane to the topic in the general sense. Just saying.

I seriously think it does highlight one the issue of electronic voting without, at a minimum, having paper backupbackups (I included the bolded for a reason).

If there weren't paper backups in Iowa, I think there would be zero faith in the results of the caucus. But luckily there were paper backups to save the day.

That's not the only thing this highlights - I agree that this also indicates how important proper stress testing of electronic systems are to a successful deployment.

Do you disagree that the paper backups were important in Iowa? That was the main thrust of that comment I made.
