To be clear, they doesn’t count as “evidence” in our earlier discussion about whether bastions or liberal academics are trying to indoctrinate students in leftist ideology. I do see where the right gets that idea from.

I should have been clearer -- this has nothing to do with the discussion of 'bastion of leftist ideology'.

This does has everything to do with the 2020 Presidential Horse Race in progress.

I am glad that you understand that basis of belief. But i would guessed that you really meant to to say 'dont'.

Here is another twig for the fire.

https://www.nas.org/blogs/article/partis...p-colleges

To summarize: Democratic professors outnumber Republican ones by greater than a 9 to 1 ratio, according to new data. Profs donating to Democratic candidates outnumbered those giving to Republicans by 95 to 1 ratio.

Only if you subscribe to the thesis that each and every prof generates an absolute and complete objective and neutral approach to the classes they teach, does the belief that upper education does not 'indoctrinate' leftwards hold water.

As noted before, Rice was seemingly agnostic in their social sciences and liberal arts. law school was absolutely opposite that.

And, there is no way you can convince me that any program such as 'Women's and Gender Studies', or 'Latino Studies', or 'African American Studies' (and any classes underneath) are not anything but political slant disguised as a degree program; yet almost every single major University offers this pablum of classes or even degree programs ---

Or perhaps this Study Finding which found that nearly 40 percent of the top ranked liberal arts colleges have zero professors who are registered Republicans.

This study also lends credence where it found that conservative college students are self-censoring during class discussions. Furthermore, students who don’t share their professors’ views are likely to parrot their professors’ views on homework assignments.

Perhaps this study might lend some thought, where it surveyed 479 full-time sociology professors and found that only 2 percent, or 1 in 50, identified as conservative. Even when including libertarians, only 4 percent of surveyed sociologists reported holding right-of-center views, whereas 83 percent described their political beliefs as either “liberal” or “radical.”

Another item might be this study which analyzed more than a thousand tweets put out by professors at the top 25 universities in the fall of 2016 showed that elite universities tend to propagate liberal talking points. While the overwhelming majority of tweets studied were politically neutral, tweets that conveyed political sentiments were disproportionately liberal-leaning. But I am absolutely sure that such a bias in a tweet is shunned religiously in a teaching environment at all times.... right?
