I don't really get this. It was an illegal campaign finance violation. Michael Cohen was indicted (in part) for it and plead guilty to it. Trump was identified in the indictment as "Individual 1". The fact that it died away is because a bunch of other even worse or more attention-grabbing stuff has happened since then.

Yeah, like Hunter Biden's and "Papa Joe" Biden's blatantly illegal activities internationally.

Hunter taking the position was unethical, for sure.

Not answering for GO, but this is just too good of a spot to ignore.

As a very astute left-winger on this site once told me, we won't know for sure if anything wrong was done unless we investigate.

The same person told me that if nothing wrong was done, nobody has anything to fear from an investigation.

So the shoe is on the other foot now.

So, at least to OO, nothing blatantly illegal. But enough suspicion to investigate.
