Sanders and Warren have advocated making tuition at public universities free. But Klobuchar argued that tax money should be focused on connecting educational opportunities with jobs that need to be filled.
"We're not going to have a shortage of MBAs. We're going to have a shortage of plumbers," she said.
Man, can I ever agree with that.
I wonder if free public education would extend to graduate degrees (MBAs) or would be capped at undergraduate?
I agree about needing to make sure we fund training for trades, but I think publicly funding higher ed is also very important.

Why should we publicly fund sociology degrees? Hell, why should we even have sociology degrees?

I personally think the world would be a better place if possession of a sociology degree were a capital offense.

Its funny that you say this. I actually think someone with a sociology degree (probably at least an MA though, not just a BA) combined with a MBA would be a pretty interesting employee for a lot of businesses wanting help understanding how consumers act, think, and make purchasing decisions as a group. Particularly if the sociology studies involved a specialized focus on online and social media.
