Given that Trump won in 2016, I think it would be foolish to dismiss anyone at this point. But, dear God, I hope not.

I don't like Donald Trump. He is a populist, and populists generally do more harm than good.

But I can't stand any of the democrats. Every one of them has at least two or three issue positions--mostly dealing with guns, taxes, and single-payer health care--that are absolute drop-dead show-stoppers for me. I didn't vote for Trump in 2016, because I saw little to choose between him and Hillary. But I could very easily vote for him in 2020. And the longer the democrats continue their, "Orange Man Bad! Orange Man Bad!" campaign, the more they drive me toward Trump.

Right now, it looks to me like stupid party versus evil party, to an extent never seen before, and I will reluctantly choose stupid if it looks like my vote will matter.
