I'll recite off the top of my head a few times when I have disagreed with him:
1) I didn't like going back to a hard line with Cuba. Since this is a sports board, I thought nixing the MLB deal with Cuba was patently absurd. My son has a number of Vietnamese friends whose families escaped the communists, that are today doing very profitable import/export deals with relatives who stayed. Seems to me that we could have made similar arrangements with Cuba and sold that to the Cubans in Florida. They're capitalists and like to make money.
2) I don't want open borders, but it seems to me that a wall doesn't do nearly as much as a rational, merit-based immigration system would do. I really thought the wall was a campaign promise, and a really shrewd horse trade would have been to give that up to get a comprehensive and rational immigration policy--merit based legal immigration, permanent guest worker status with no path to citizenship for those here illegally but contributing positively to the economy (including "Dreamers"), citizenship for those who save a full hitch in the military with an honorable discharge, no birthright citizenship if parents here illegally, combination of physical and electronic barriers at the border plus more personnel and facilities to handle the flow.
3) I would have pulled troops out of the Mideast earlier, unless there was some way militarily to engineer a realignment of borders to cure the ills of San Remo--Kurdistan in northern Iraq, Shia Mesopotamia in eastern part of current Iraq, Sunni Iraq in western part of current Iraq and eastern part of Syria. I'd also support establishing a Palestinian homeland in their ancestral homeland--Gaza--and bribing Egypt to make it happen.
4) Balance the damn budget. Imposing a VAT and lowering income tax rates even more, instead of selective tariffs. Yes we have a negative trade balance with China--but we also have one with just about every other developed country, and that makes no sense. VAT would level the playing field worldwide more than anything else we could do.
5) Come up with some plan for health care. I prefer Bismarck, but most anything is better than single-payer or single-provider.
6) Fire whoever in the Pentagon signed off on procurement disasters like the USS Ford ($16 billion aircraft carrier that can't arm, launch, or recover aircraft), Littoral control Ships ($750 million apiece and absolutely worthless), F-35 (maybe not a bad aircraft, but no way it should cost $100 million a pop), Air Force tanker (should have split the contract between Boeing and Airbus), and a host of others.
Moreover, I think Tanq and OO have joined me on at least several of those.
Left your name off for a reason.

I understand and appreciate that. But I think Tanq and OO deserve to be left off for the same reason.

I agree, but I don't really care. When he gave me some things of Trump he supported, I backed off my claim. When I gave him some things of Trump I didn't support, silence. Typical left wing ethics.

I just get tired of all these memes about Trump's lies, when a lot of them are equally lies. C'mon, left - play fair.

I have more than a few disagreements with Trump on his 'way' and on his policies. I dont have the patience to bother with lad on this, since when I would state them, he would either say that '[I] always have to be right', or do the usual lad thing when pointed out as something not correct, simply scuttle off without proffering that limb of 'no es la verdad' that might accompany that position from time to time.

A no-win/no-win situation from my point of view and not worth a fing iota of effort because of that.

I do know that on a whole slew of occasions I have expressed more than a sliver of displeasure with the measure of the man, and at least a couple of times expressed a difference of opinion with his policies. But all in all, the cost of dislodging lad from his Somme-like broad sweeping and very exceptional statement '*never* disagree', just isnt worth the fing effort (as noted before).

Almost all I can say to this post in lol.

Sorry to OO, it was very busy weekend without much time to response. I definitely do appreciate his willingness to point out a few things he disagrees with Trump on - like his response to me, that's the first time I remember him actually criticizing Trump. But like OO's memory of me having nothing positive to say, my memory is likely biased by the general overwhelming defense of Trump I see OO build.

So I'll walk back that he always defends Trump and couch it in the same way - he's a 95% Trump Does-No-Wronger.

Hope OO can forgive me for taking a few days to respond.
